Dr. Aasim Adia is an ST2 Resident Radiologist in the North West of England, bringing with him a diverse and well-rounded clinical background across multiple medical specialties, including vascular surgery, cardiology, paediatrics, psychiatry, general practice, and acute internal medicine. His breadth of experience allows him to approach radiology with a uniquely holistic clinical perspective, enriching his teaching and leadership in the specialty.

Alongside his clinical training, Dr. Adia has developed a strong academic and research portfolio. He holds a First Class Honours MSc in Medical Imaging and has been recognised nationally for his academic excellence, including being awarded the British Society of Interventional Radiology Essay Scholar Award and the prestigious Charles Thakrah Turner Prize. He is also an experienced educator, currently serving as a Junior Clinical Lecturer with the North West School of Radiology, where he plays a key role in teaching and mentoring the next generation of clinicians.

As Radiology Courses Lead at Chequers Academy, Dr. Adia will draw on his expertise in multimodality imaging interpretation, audit and quality improvement, and medical education to deliver high-quality, innovative training programmes. With a keen interest in emerging radiology technologies and techniques, he is committed to ensuring that learners are equipped with both the practical skills and the forward-thinking mindset required for the evolving landscape of radiology.
